1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

The only thing I do NOT like is mohair. I’m open to any other fibers.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

I have a needle case from Zonda that has my Knitpicks Options needles in it.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I’ve been knitting for about 9 yrs, I’d say. I would consider myself an intermediate knitter.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

No. I’m really in to trying the Japanese knitting books right now. I have Let’s Knit 11 and the 250 Knitting Patterns book. My ravelry account has most of the knitting books I already own listed on it.

ETA: I do have one posted now, mostly for my FAMILY if they ever come visit my blog.

5. What’s your favorite scent?

Vanilla

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

Nope, no favorite candy. I’m more into cookies and baked treats.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?

I scrapbook, quilt, and I’ve just learned how to spin. I’m learning on a wheel I borrowed from a friend.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

I usually listen to music through my IPod or computer, so a CD made with MP3s would be great. I like anything as long as it’s not purely instrumental.

9. What’s your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can’t stand?

My favorites are red, blue, pink, purple, and green. I don’t have any colors I dislike.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I’m single with no pets.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

I wear mittens, scarves, and hats.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I love to knit lace shawls/stoles/scarves, socks, baby sweaters, and the occasional attempt at a sweater. So far, I haven’t managed to finish the sweaters, though.

13. What are you knitting right now?

Right now I’m working on a few pairs of socks and 2 lace shawls.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

Yes, I love it. I’m a quilter and scrapbooker also, so I’d love anything handmade.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

I really like metal or bamboo circular needles. I’m interested in trying some wooden straight needles for making scarves and lace though.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

I do own a ball winder, but no swift. I’ve been making do with the back of a chair.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

8 months. It’s the Ribby Cardi from ChicKnits.

18. What is your favorite holiday?

I love Christmas. That has to be my absolute favorite holiday. I enjoy seeing the reaction I get to gifts I have made for family and freinds.

19. Is there anything that you collect?

Books. I’m addicted to them. I like mysteries, sci fi/fantasy novels, and romance novels. I love Nora Roberts, Sabrina Jeffries, Beverly Jenkins, Francis Ray, Mercedes Lackey, and many other female authors.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

I’d like to try some of the basic yarns that are common in the states. I want to try some Cascade 220, maybe for some Fetchings or a hat. I don’t have access to yarns that most consider common here in Germany. I have a subscription to Interweave Knits, but no other knitting magazines.

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn?

I’m interested in learning stranded knitting. I want to start with something small like mittens to get the hang of it. I have patterns for Eunny’s Endpaper Mitts and Anemoi Mittens, but I haven’t found the right yarns yet.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

I do knit socks. My measurements are: Shoe size 8.5, Foot length 9.5 inches, circumference 9 inches
