MIA

I know I’ve been MIA lately.  I’ve spent the last 3 weeks getting ready to leave Germany and will be flying to the U.S. tomorrow.  It’s been pretty hectic, to  say the least. Finally, though, I’ve gotten everything packed, shipped, mailed, or otherwise taken care of, and am ready to go.

In knitting news, I’ve been working on my Flower Basket Shawl, with a little bit of Kimono Shawl thrown in for good measure.  For some reason, I just cannot get the pattern for the FBS shawl memorized even though it’s a really short repeat and fairly simple.  I keep having to refer to the chart.  I even finished it and bound off after 12 repeats, only to rip back and keep going because I though it was too short.  I plan to take some pics to show how it’s going once I get to the States.

I also got my swap partner assigned for the No-More-Humdrum-Mittens Exchange 2.  I can’t wait to get started on those, as my partner has very similar color preferences to my own.

Bye for now…
